Job Description

The Finance Manager (Healthcare) is responsible for managing the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes within the healthcare organization. This role involves overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee cash flow management and ensure proper allocation of financial resources.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Lead financial forecasting processes, providing guidance and support to other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal financial policies.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
  • Provide financial analysis for strategic projects, such as new service lines, expansions, or partnerships.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and best practices to optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are desirable but not required.
